Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed nights of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
